PORTR estimates the volume and handling time, flags items that may need lifting help, and matches your load to a suitable vehicle. You choose how many people to book.

Book, pay 50% and you are done
Choose your date and window, pay half securely by card, and the remaining balance is charged automatically once your items are delivered.

You do not have to guess the van
Choosing a vehicle is the part of van hire that most people get wrong, in both directions. PORTR calculates the volume of your items, adds headroom so the load can be strapped safely, and picks the vehicle for you. Describe unusually shaped or delicate items accurately so the quote reflects the load.

Paying for your booking
Half now by card. Half on completion.
You pay a 50% deposit securely online when you book, which confirms your vehicle and your time window. The remaining 50% is charged automatically to the same saved card once your items are delivered.
You clearly authorise the future card charge at checkout, or you can pay the full amount online at booking. Any eligible Pay in Full saving is shown in your quote; Flexible booking already includes its full 30% saving.

Card payments are processed by Stripe and accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. PORTR does not store your card details on its own servers.
Where we operate
Booking across the UK
We quote journeys across mainland Great Britain, including long-distance routes between cities. If we cannot cover your route on your chosen date, the quote flow will tell you rather than taking a booking we cannot fulfil.
Choose your timing
Pick the delivery timing that suits your move
Select a collection date up to three calendar months ahead, then choose same-day, next-day, Anytime, delivery within 2 days or Flexible. Flexible collection starts from day 7 after booking; each available option is priced for your route, items and access before you book.
Same-day and next-day services give you a defined delivery deadline. Anytime allows collection on your chosen date and delivery that day or the next; Within 2 days is the standard option. Flexible costs 30% less than the equivalent same-day quote, with delivery within 7 days after your chosen collection. Your price appears before checkout.

Delivery capacity without your own vans
Retailers, auction houses and marketplace sellers use PORTR as their delivery arm. Account terms are agreed directly rather than published as a rate card.
