PORTR shows you every line that makes up your total before you pay a penny. Nothing is added on the day for anything you told us about when you booked.
Indicative local prices
These figures come from the same pricing engine that produces your quote, based on a short local journey with straightforward access. Your own price depends on your postcodes, items, access and timing.

What your price is made of
The vehicle
Your item list is converted into cubic metres and matched to the smallest van that can carry it safely. A bigger van costs more because it costs more to run.
The distance
A mileage allowance is included in the base fare. Beyond that, mileage is charged per mile of real driving distance, and the rate tapers down the further you go.
Handling time
Every item in our catalogue carries a realistic handling time. Ten boxes take longer than one wardrobe, and the price reflects that rather than guessing.
Access at both ends
A second-floor flat without a lift genuinely takes longer than a ground-floor house. You tell us up front, so it is priced up front.
Crew size
Where an item cannot be moved safely by one person, a second person is added and shown as its own line.
Timing
Weekends, evenings and short-notice collections carry an uplift. Being flexible on the time window earns a discount.
Pay 50% now, the rest after delivery
A 50% deposit is taken by card when you book, which confirms your vehicle and time window. The balance is settled by bank transfer once your delivery is complete, or charged automatically to your saved card if you choose that at checkout. Nothing is taken before the job is done.
