Urgent courier

Urgent courier for documents and small parcels

Parcel networks cannot promise a time and removals companies will not turn out for an envelope. PORTR fits in that gap at the small end too: a signed contract, a set of keys, a passport, a laptop, a part that has stopped a job. One driver in a car or estate goes straight from your collection address to the delivery address, with nothing else on board and no depot in between.

Local single-item jobs typically start from £32.

What is included

  • Dedicated vehicle: your item is the only job on that run
  • No depots, no sorting hubs, no overnight sitting in a warehouse
  • Car or estate priced for small items rather than van rates
  • Same-day and next-day both selectable, with the uplift shown as its own line
  • The same fixed price and breakdown as every other PORTR booking

Typically booked for

  • Contracts, deeds and signed paperwork
  • Keys for a tenancy, a property or a vehicle
  • A laptop, phone or piece of equipment someone needs today
  • Samples, proofs or artwork going to a client
  • A spare part holding up work on site
  • Anything a parcel network would put on a two-day service

How the price is worked out

PORTR does not quote a vague hourly rate. Your price is assembled from the vehicle your items need, the real driving distance of your route, the handling time each item realistically takes, and the access at both ends. Each of those appears as its own line before you pay, and the total is fixed unless you change the booking.

You choose how to pay: 50% by card now with the balance by bank transfer once the job is complete, the balance charged automatically to the card you saved, or the whole amount by card up front for a small discount.
